Der Stator ist eine der Komponenten der Motorrad-Lichtmaschine, die als separates Produkt erhältlich ist. Der Grund dafür ist die Funktion des Stators in der Lichtmaschine und die damit verbundenen Schäden. Die Statorwicklung ist ein stationäres Bauteil, das durch die Drehung des Rotors und die elektromagnetische Induktion einen elektrischen Strom erzeugt. Auf diese Weise erzeugt sie Polaris Xplorer 400 den Strom, der später an die Zündung oder Beleuchtung weitergeleitet wird. Daher sind Statoren auch eine der Hauptursachen für Störungen im Ladesystem. Da die Statorwicklung Präzision erfordert, ist ihre Reparatur in der Regel zeitaufwändig und in vielen Fällen auch teuer. Eine bessere Lösung ist daher der Austausch gegen ein neues Produkt, das genau auf die verwendete Lichtmaschine abgestimmt ist Polaris Xplorer 400.
