Der Grund dafür ist einfach: Dort sammeln sich eine Reihe von Kabeln, die die Stromquelle mit den einzelnen Geräten verbinden. Sie können an den Kasten gelangen, indem Sie die Sitzbank anheben oder ein separates Karosserieschutzteil entfernen. Welche Sicherung für welches System wählen?
.Plattensicherungen gibt es in Mini-, Standard- und Maxi-Größen, während Glassicherungen meist durch ihre Länge bestimmt werden. Neben jeder Sicherung finden Sie auch die Nennstromstärke in Ampere (A). Vergleichen Sie diese mit dem Wert, der für das Gerät oder den Einbauort der Sicherung angegeben ist, und wählen Sie die Sicherung mit der angegebenen Stromstärke aus. Bei Plattensicherungen wird die Wahl durch ihre Farbgebung erleichtert, die für jeden Amperewert eine andere Farbe hat.
Kann ich eine Sicherung mit höherer Amperezahl verwenden?
.Die Amperezahl einer Sicherung gibt an, bei welcher Stromstärke die Sicherung den Stromkreis unterbricht und Schäden am betreffenden Gerät verhindert. Wenn Sie eine Sicherung mit einer höheren Amperezahl wählen, lassen Sie einen höheren Strom fließen, der für das Gerät gefährlich ist. Verwenden Sie also keine Sicherung mit einer höheren Amperezahl oder mit einer niedrigeren Amperezahl, da diese zu früh reagieren und den Strom abschalten, obwohl keine Gefahr besteht.
Gibt es wiederverwendbare Sicherungen?
.Bei der Wahl einer Sicherung stößt man in der Regel auf flinke Sicherungen oder schmelzsicherungslose Sicherungen. Eine solche Sicherung reagiert sofort und unterbricht die Stromzufuhr. Es gibt aber Systeme, bei denen es oft zu einer kurzzeitigen, harmlosen Störung des Stroms kommt, oder eine solche Störung tritt auf, wenn das Gerät selbst eingeschaltet wird. Hier kommen träge Sicherungen zum Einsatz. Solche Sicherungen halten viele kurzzeitige Stromstörungen aus und unterbrechen die Stromzufuhr erst dann, wenn die Störung das betreffende Gerät tatsächlich gefährdet.
Welche zusätzlichen Eigenschaften kann eine Motorradsicherung haben?
.Sicherungen sind preiswerte, universell einsetzbare Produkte, die Sie nach Art und Leistung auswählen. Ein höherer Preis bedeutet in der Regel, dass der Hersteller nicht nur eine, sondern mehrere Sicherungen oder ein Paket davon anbietet. Auf dem Markt gibt es jedoch auch teurere Plattensicherungen, die mit einer Leuchtdiode (LED) ausgestattet sind. Eine solche Diode leuchtet auf, wenn die Sicherung durchgebrannt ist.
>Was kann dazu führen, dass eine Motorradsicherung häufig durchbrennt?
.Die typische Sicherung reagiert auf eine Störung des Stroms im System. In der Regel sollten solche Störungen gar nicht vorhanden sein. Wenn eine neue Sicherung sehr schnell durchbrennt, überprüfen Sie den Betrieb des zugehörigen Geräts und den Zustand der elektrischen Anlage. Die Ursache des Problems kann hier liegen:

- Verbindungsfehler
Wenn mehrere Sicherungen auf diese Weise durchbrennen, achten Sie auf die Stromquellen, also die Batterie, Lichtmaschine oder Anlasser. Das Problem wird hier ein Strom mit falschen Parametern sein, zum Beispiel eine zu hohe Spannung.
Wie erkennt man eine durchgebrannte Sicherung an einem Motorrad?
.Eine durchgebrannte Sicherung erkennt man in erster Linie an der Beschädigung des Bauteils, das den Eingang und den Ausgang der Sicherung verbindet. Bei einer Plattensicherung ist dies eine verbrannte Verbindung zwischen zwei Platten, bei einer Glassicherung ist es ein gebrochener Draht, der die beiden Seiten der Sicherung verbindet. Auch bei einer anderen Art von Sicherung wird der Schaden auf ähnliche Weise festgestellt.
Wie tauscht man eine Sicherung am Motorrad aus?
.Am einfachsten sind die Maßnahmen bei Plattensicherungen. Ein Beispiel:
- Finde den Sicherungskasten am Motorrad .
- Finde und entferne die defekte Sicherung .
- Einbau einer neuen Sicherung mit den gleichen Eigenschaften .
Das Auswechseln einer Glassicherung ist etwas komplizierter. Obwohl die Schritte ähnlich sind, müssen Sie hier den Standort der einzelnen Sicherung ausfindig machen:
- Finden Sie das Gehäuse der betreffenden Sicherung in den Kabeln .
- Entferne die Sicherung aus ihrer Halterung .
