Im Gegensatz zu Motorrädern überträgt die Lenkung eines Quads oder ATVs die Drehung des Lenkrads nicht direkt auf das Rad. [Hier sind eine Reihe von Verbindungselementen erforderlich. Eine Schlüsselrolle spielen dabei die Lenkstangen und ihre Enden. Die Spurstangenköpfe ermöglichen die Übertragung der Lenkraddrehung auf die Räder unter Beibehaltung anderer Aufhängungsfunktionen. Aufgrund ihrer Funktion wird das Spurstangenende viel häufiger beschädigt als die Spurstange selbst. Überprüfen Sie daher regelmäßig den Zustand der Enden, auch auf Verschmutzung. Ist der Spurstangenkopf verschlissen oder beschädigt, muss das Polaris Indy 400 unbedingt ausgetauscht werden. Wenn Sie hier nicht reagieren, kann dies zu Problemen mit der Aufhängung und der Lenkung sowie zu rechtlichen Konsequenzen führen.
