Die Rollen sind das wichtigste bewegliche Teil eines Variators. Sie sorgen dafür, dass der Peugeot Jet Force 125 das Übersetzungsverhältnis des Riemens bei optimaler Motordrehzahl reibungslos ändert. Dabei kommt es vor allem auf ihre Masse an und damit darauf, wie viel Motordrehzahl und damit Fliehkraft erforderlich ist, um die Position der Rollen in ihren Laufbahnen zu verändern. Dies ist vor allem bei Modifikationen am Motor zu beachten. Ohne eine Änderung der Masse der Rollen, wie z. B. bei deren Abnutzung oder Beschädigung, wird Peugeot Jet Force 125 den Durchmesser des Riemenverhältnisses nicht verringern oder dies zu früh tun, um die maximale Motorleistung zu erreichen.
