Wie jeder Antriebsstrang benötigt auch der Antriebsstrang eines Rollers ein Trennelement zwischen Motor und Hinterrad. Die Polaris Indy 400 ist hier der Konstruktion der Trommelbremse nachempfunden, wobei der Kontakt zwischen den Backen und der Innenfläche durch die Fliehkraft und den fehlenden Widerstand der Kupplungsfedern und nicht auf Wunsch des Fahrers erfolgt. Achten Sie dabei nicht nur auf die Backen und die Trommel selbst, sondern auch auf die Federn und die verschiedenen Gestänge. Oft sind diese Schäden darauf zurückzuführen, dass der Fahrer den Motor im falschen Moment an das Rad angeschlossen oder abgekuppelt hat.
