Das Indian Chief 1800 nutzt das Modul, um die erwarteten Parameter des von der Zündkerze erzeugten Funkens zu erreichen. Meistens handelt es sich dabei um einen Kompromiss zwischen Leistung, Kraftstoffverbrauch und Haltbarkeit des Motors. Wenn Sie jedoch mehr wollen, können Sie das Modul umprogrammieren oder es sogar durch ein anderes ersetzen. Denken Sie jedoch daran, dass bei höherer Leistung mehr Kraftstoff verbraucht wird und der Motor einem schnelleren Verschleiß der Komponenten ausgesetzt ist. Achten Sie auch auf das Modul, wenn der Motor unregelmäßig läuft. Eine Beschädigung oder ein falscher Zusammenbau und Anschluss des Moduls stört die Qualität und den Zeitpunkt der Funkenerzeugung durch die Zündkerze. Die Folgen eines solchen Ausfalls für den Motor betragen in der Regel ein Vielfaches der Kosten für den Austausch des Moduls.
